Rozelle Interchange Stacks, Sydney NSW

1 Lifting the panel into place landscape.jpg

Teleo Design was engaged by the installers of the artwork cladding on the Rozelle Interchange exhaust stacks to bring our construction experience to the assembly and installation of these ambitious and impressive pieces.

With a primary aim being to soften the stacks’ brutalist form and provide a link to the Rozelle Parklands below, the artwork panels designed by Studio Chris Fox contain shrubs and other plants, alongside zinc tileworks

Teleo’s experience in designing for construction allowed for design optimisation in all early works stages. Teleo provided an assessment of key risks during the fabrication and painting of the cladding and artworks, and throughout the planning and adoption of the construction methodology.

Teleo’s services also included the detail design and certification of temporary works support frames, providing the mechanism for panels to be safely lifted from the ground to a vertical position. The innovative design of Teleo’s temporary works jig enabled an overall one month reduction in the construction program due to quicker assembly in that stage.
